Installing FEAR

Hi, I recently finished Black Ops 2 for PC, so I decided to give a try to an old game, F.E.A.R. I had the DVD with Extraction point Exp. pack. I Simply Installed F.E.A.R. it and for my surprise I couldn't update to 1.07!
Later I found out that its a Re-pack which installs 1.08 straight. So no need of any patches. Then I installed Extraction Point, It couldn't find installation path had to manually point it out, then Patched it with exes in the Expansion Pack disk - both fear, fearxp exes and it works fine. Original game supports my res 1280x1024 but Extraction point doesn't contain that resolution :(
